How you respond to the question and what direction you choose to take is essential in completing the task effectively and thereby maximising your grade. In this section, you will consider how you can approach the essay and learn what information it is essential to include.
As we have seen from the marking criteria, coherence and cohesion relates to how well the text develops logically and the sentences link together as well as paragraphing. We address all of these aspects in this section.
In this section, we consider the kind of vocabulary you should use in IELTS part-2 tasks and focus on the words and phrases most likely to improve the quality of your essays and hence your band score in this areas. We also look at tools and strategies for learning and remembering new vocabulary effectively.
Grammar is, of course, an important area of IELTS. Using accurate grammar is important but so is being able to use a lot of different structures (range).
